23 garden clubs representing over 700 gardeners in Marietta and Cobb County

The regular meetings of the Marietta Council of Garden Clubs take place at the Marietta Educational Garden Center, 505 Kennesaw Avenue, Marietta, GA. Meetings are currently scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on the following dates:

Mission Statement

  • TO coordinate the interests of the Garden Clubs of Marietta and Cobb County; to bring them into close relationship for mutual helpfulness by association, conference and corresponding.
  • TO promote the love of gardening.
  • TO promote the study of horticulture.
  • TO protect our native trees, wildflowers and birds.
  • TO encourage civic beautification, conservation and pollution control.
  • TO add beauty in our homes and elsewhere by studying, demonstrating and preparing various arrangements utilizing floral, dried and other materials.
  • TO maintain and operate the Marietta Educational Garden Center, Inc., for the benefit of the member clubs and the community.

Club Hostess Responsibilities

Place tables, chairs and podium in meeting room. After the meeting,  replace these items in the storage closet unless the club is notified to leave them set up for another purpose.

Refreshments should be ready to be served by 9:30 a.m.

Clean up the kitchen.  Wash and dry coffeepot. Remove trash to the dumpster.
